Her life was changed in 2011 when she was cast in Escapee a role that led into her meeting with her new partner Justin Gaston. One year later, they got wed. Melissa's professional career took off following her win of the role in Chloe Carter for Hollywood Heights. Melissa's success accelerated after the performances in Ted The League The Incredible Burton Wonderstone-Channeling and Odd Thomas. In 2013, she landed two recurring roles on high-profile shows Sidney Price on 90210 and Abby Newman on The Young and the Restless. Ordway is engaged to Justin and lives with him in Los Angeles.
