Alaina Suddeth is sister of Kristy Suddeth (Rossville, Georgia) and J. J. Suddeth. Her father is an engineer for process working in Chattanooga, Tennessee.Alaina started to sing when she was three. Her first public performance was with a kids choir and a place to go on vacation that included Karaoke. She sang in churches, restaurants, at social gatherings with family, and all within 30 miles of her home. Alaina competed with her first Southern Stars Pageant at 8 and was crowned the winner. That year she was crowned the contest for talent of children at Chattanooga's Riverbend Festival. The stage was a constant performance until she was 12 years old. She then won an event that allowed her the opportunity to appear on the main stage at the Riverbend festival. At the age of ten She traveled from Orlando, Florida for the American Model and Talent Competition. She won the event, beating out 1,500 kids. Alaina performed with Georgia Country Gospel Music Association's youth group. Aged 12, Alaina made her first of many trips to Nashville. She was a regular at Tootsie's bar and many other bars along Broadway. In 2009, Alaina won the inaugural WinniSTAR Youth Talent Contest at Lake Winnepesaukah amusement park.In addition the stage, Alaina wrote several songs such as Leaving and the song Set Me Free. The cousin of Alaina Holly Witherow was diagnosed with brain cancer, which inspired her to start singing. Alaina had worked at CiC's Pizza prior to her she joined Idol. She graduated from Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe Senior High School located in Fort Oglethorpe Georgia.
