Holly has been married at least three times. In the first time she was wed was with Danny Quinn. They were divorced in 1993. Jim Carrey and she first met in 1994 while trying out for Ace Ventura Pet Detective. It was not given to her, however they became friends during making Dumb and Dumber. They were married in 1996. The marriage lasted less than one year before they separated in 2001, she got married Francis Greco, a Canadian-born investor banker.The couple welcomed three children, sons Henry, George, and Alexander Holly-Greco. When she was married Greco the following year, she obtained Canadian citizenship. In 2014, the couple separated. Holly has three kids living in Oakville Ontario Canada. Holly, Grant Grant's family as well as the Hobart William Smith Colleges established an A Fund to honour her brother Alexander. Holly stated that Alexander "was an individual who had many hopes, dreams and plans". He was 14 years older when he died and he traveled extensively across Central America and Europe, was a resident of New York City, and Los Angeles. His experiences inspired him in architecture and archaeology.

Alaina was born the 8th November 1994, her parents being Kristy and J. J. Suddeth from Rossville, Georgia. Alaina began singing at the age of three years old. Following a long vacation of a year and a year-long break from school, she joined the kids choir. The singer sang in church at restaurants, in the midst of holiday weekends, and everywhere she could within a 30- mile area. Alaina participated at her first Southern Stars Pageant at 8 and was crowned the winner. In the following year, she won the contest for talent of children at Chattanooga's Riverbend Festival. The following years, she performed every year on this stage until the age of 12, when the contest which allowed her to appear on the Festival's main stage was the winner. In 2010, she traveled to Orlando, Florida to participate in the American Model and Talent Competition. She won more than 1500 children at the competition. Alaina was a part of the Georgia Country Gospel Music Association Children's Choir. Alaina's first trip to Nashville was at the age of twelve. The bar she frequented was Tootsie's bar, and numerous other bars on Broadway. Alaina was the winner of the WinniSTAR contest for youth talent in 2009 at Lake Winnepesaukah. She also created songs, such as Leaving and Set Me Free. Alaina found her inspiration to sing through Holly Witherow. Holly was sufering from a brain tumour. Alaina had worked at CiC's Pizza prior to her she joined Idol. She is a graduate of Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe Senior High School located in Fort Oglethorpe Georgia.
